Aromatically the Chardonnay has more citrus-driven notes, with a sprinkling of yellow apples and pineapples. On the palate, the wine has refreshing minerality, a touch of well-integrated oakiness, and crunchy pears.
TASTING NOTES:
The 2023 Sonoma Coast Chardonnay is fresh and balanced, built on a foundation of mostly estate fruit. A long, cool growing season helped preserve the grapes’ bright acidity, giving the wine energy. Notes of salted lemon and citrus peel lead the way, accompanied by crunchy, juicy apples and a coastal minerality. It’s a restrained style, showing just enough tension, salinity, and a gentle texture on the palate.

The 2023 Chardonnay (Sonoma Coast) is gorgeous. Brisk acids and floral aromatics lead into citrus peel, ripe pear, sage and slate. This vibrant, cool-climate Chardonnay is such a delight. I especially admire its translucent energy.
