Our Riviera Pinot Noir is a testament to the distinctive terroir of the Sonoma Coast AVA, celebrated for its brisk maritime breeze and oceanic influence. These elements bestow a unique complexity and flavor profile to the grapes. The 2022 vintage benefitted from ideal climatic patterns, fostering a leisurely maturation of the grapes and a nuanced flavor profile. Each batch of Pinot Noir is matured in an assortment of new and seasoned French oak barrels, with only the superior barrels chosen for the final blend, yielding a harmonious fusion of flavors. The Riviera boasts a profile of deep berry tones, including cherry and raspberry, enriched by delicate vanilla and oak nuances, all counterpoised by lively acidity and a smooth, silky mouthfeel.
Pali Wine Co. produces premium Pinot Noir and Chardonnay sourced primarily from vineyards in the Sta. Rita Hills and neighboring wine-growing regions. The region’s terroir, including its transverse ranges, limestone rich soils, and cool ocean fog, is ideal for growing Pali’s poised Pinot Noir and Chardonnay wine grapes. While most of our grapes come from our Sta. Rita Hills estate ‘Pali Vineyard,’ Pali partners with a handful of other family-owned and world-renowned vineyards in the area among the likes of Fiddlestix, Rancho La Viña, and Bien Nacido Vineyards.
TASTING NOTES:
This pure, potent and focused wine offers a laser beam of black cherries, noticeable, grippy tannins and a full body. The wine's deep color, super-ripe flavors, rich mouthfeel and warm finish give it a resemblance to Syrah. It's a big wine suitable for further aging. Best from 2026.
