WINEMAKER'S NOTES:
The 2022 Grgich Hills Estate Chardonnay is a refined expression of Napa Valley terroir. This wine offers a delightful balance of freshness and complexity. Each sip reveals a harmonious blend of bright acidity and layered flavors. The experience is elevated by the meticulous craftsmanship of a winery founded by the legendary Mike Grgich.
This unique Chardonnay does not undergo malolactic fermentation, preserving its natural fresh acidity. The wine has aromas of white peach, lemon, key lime, and coconut. The flavors open with ripe citrus, Meyer lemon, mandarin, pineapple, mango, followed by hints of oregano. It has a vibrant acidity and juiciness leading to a long, flavorful finish.
TASTING NOTES:
This is aromatic with ripe peaches, pineapple, honeysuckle, praline and crushed stones. Full-bodied, dense and round-textured with a tangy, spiced nature. Shows tension and energy with mineral undertones at the end. Drink or hold.
