WINEMAKER'S NOTES:
A rich and elegant Brunello, both in structure and in olfactory expression. Brilliant ruby red with garnet-colored reflections, on the nose the aroma is sweet and fruity, the hints of fresh red fruit stand out, which combine perfectly with the more complex notes of licorice and pipe tobacco. The structure is powerful, and the palate is pleasantly enveloped by a consistent tannic texture, well balanced by a pleasant acidity. Extremely persistent with excellent aging potential.
It pairs particularly well with rich and tasty dishes. Perfect as a meditation wine.
TASTING NOTES:
Offers power in the form of dense tan- nins and intense flavors of black cherry, blackberry and black currant. Iron, tomato leaf and Mediterranean scrub notes add depth as this expands midpalate and through the detailed finish.

The 2021 Brunello Di Montalcino Castello Banfi displays a youthful garnet/red hue and is spiced with aromas of clove, incense, dried cherries, redcurrants, and pine. Medium-bodied, it’s approachable yet nicely structured, with refreshing acidity, ripe tannins, and a clean mineral finish. It should offer a wide window for enjoyment over the next 10 years. Drink 2026-2036.

There is richness and freshness, with layers of plum, blackcurrant and sweet spice. The tannins are well managed.
