WINEMAKER'S NOTES:
Made in keeping with the traditional winemaking methods of the local area around Vignamaggio estate in Tuscany, Italy, this wine is intensely red, with a fresh and fruity bouquet. You will find notes of red fruits on the nose, which is typical of this Italian varietal. Lingering blueberry and prune with slight hints of vanilla can be tasted on the palate. Overall, this is a well-structured wine with pleasant tannins and a balanced finish. Aged for about a year in oak barrels in Vignamaggio’s fifteenth century cellar, and finished in bottles for at least 3 months.

This shows aromas of baked cherries and red plums with hints of ground spices, sandalwood and moist bark. Medium-bodied, sleek and soft-textured with fine tannins and juicy acidity. Fruity and mellow on the finish. From organically grown grapes. Drink now.

The nose starts earthy, stony and slightly dusty, before a tart, astringent fruitiness and sugary notes of vanilla and cola emerge. The fruit sweetens on the palate, but the initial earthy minerality also lingers, and is emphasized by the tannins and acid.

The 2020 Chianti Classico Terre di Prenzano is a tasty, easygoing wine to drink now and over the next handful of years. Bright acids lift a core of red/purplish fruit, with touches of blood orange, rose petal and cinnamon that develop nicely in the glass. This is a fine vintage for the Terre di Prenzano
