WINEMAKER'S NOTES:

Owned and operated by Major League teammates Chris Lannetta and Vernon Wells, Two Old Dogs winery sprung from a passion for wine and a love of spending time with family and friends. We take pride in crafting wines from premier, family-owned vineyards. The flavors and aromas tell the story of the land upon which the grapes were grown. When it comes to wine, nature knows best.

OUR WINEMAKER:

With more than two decades of winemaking expertise, Julien Fayard is one of Napa Valley’s most respected winemakers producing California varietals with French finesse. Julien’s wines are a pure expression of their terroir, highlighting the specificities and characteristics of the fruit, vineyard management, soil,  and climate.

The goal behind the winery and Julien’s approach is to create wines that are both affordable and delicious. Two Old Dogs wines deliver the taste and quality you expect from Napa Valley at a price that’s perfect for both the everyday and the extraordinary.

TASTING NOTES:

The Cabernet Sauvignon boasts incredible aromatics with a very forward nose bringing fresh ripe red fruits, with a backbone of dark spices, from the 100% new French oak. There is a striking aromatic presence, with flavor profiles that lean towards darker and denser fruit extractions. The deep purple color teases the richness of flavor to come, with the lovely bouquet bursting at every swirl.

The depth and complexity of the nose is confirmed in the mouth with luscious black raspberry, blueberry, minerals, dense black cherries and ripe plums. Experience a wonderful bright freshness from this fruit-forward offering, showing a good acid balance and soft tannins with a full body and good weight in the mouth. Perfect for drinking now or saving for a special celebration in the next 10 years.
